The Chenango Blues Association is committed to the health and safety of our artists, fans and volunteers. We have consulted with the Chenango County Department of Health and reviewed CDC guidelines for outdoor events and will continue to follow, and exceed, all recommendations. Here are the current policies and procedures we have in place:
- All attendees who are not fully vaccinated should wear a mask, and this is required in any indoor setting if not fully ventilated.
- Please stay home if you have any symptoms of COVID, have recently been exposed to COVID, or are still recovering from COVID.
- We are limiting ticket sales by selling 30% fewer tickets to allow extra space for all attendees.
- Please give each other some extra space. We have adjusted our layout to increase the space available to attendees so feel free to spread out.
- We have expanded the area where you can set up a pop-up. This is a great way to enhance social distancing!
- We have hired extra cleaning staff so high touch surfaces will be cleaned regularly throughout the event.
- We will be placing extra hand washing and hand sanitizing stations throughout the grounds - please use them frequently!
It boils down to common sense. Outdoor events can be safe and fun for everyone if we wash our hands frequently, mask up where appropriate and give each other a little extra space. The Fairgrounds has plenty of room so lets use it!
For those interested, Chenango County has a positive test rate of 3.4% as of 8/9/21. There are 52 active cases of COVID in the county, many related to three clusters of close contact. There have been no reported cases from incidental contact at events like our Summer Concert Series.
We will continue to update our policies in coordination with local health officials. We will conform with all recommended health policies in effect on the day of the event.
